West Seattle is a peninsula surrounded
on three sides by Puget Sound and connected to the rest of
the city by bridges across the Duwamish River. Once there
you get a feeling of a small town in the midst of a large
metropolitan city of Seattle. The local Admiral Theater has
entertained generations of movie-goers and now dozens of diverse
restaurants are available for dining pleasure. West Seattle
is unique in its abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities
- the renowned West Seattle Golf Course, 68 acre Camp Long,
Longfellow Creek greenbelt and trails, 135 acres Lincoln Park
with its heated outdoor saltwater swimming pool, and Alki
Beach. Yet, an easy commute to downtown Seattle and Sea-Tac
Airportand a short distance to I-5 and I-90.
Scattered about West Seattle are four urban villages
at the Admiral Junction, the Alaska Junction, the Morgan Street
Junction, and the bustling Westwood Village (Target, Barnes
and Noble, Chico's, Bed Bath & Beyond, Big 5 Sport Store,
Pier 1 Imports, and more). Or, you can take the Water Taxi
from West Seattle waterfront to the Seattle waterfront and
all that it offers.
The High Point development site covers
130 acres, 1600 residential units, several neighborhood facilities,
a new neighborhood retail center (to include a grocery store),
and 22 acres of parks. A new 7000sf public library and a new
health center have already been built. The neigborhood is
a mix of townhomes, carriage homes, condominium flats, attached
and detached single family homes.
Something for everyone!
