West Seattle is a peninsula surrounded on three sides by Puget Sound and connected to the rest of the city by bridges across the Duwamish River. Once there you get a feeling of a small town in the midst of a large metropolitan city of Seattle. Scattered about West Seattle are four urban villages at the Admiral Junction, the Alaska Junction, the Morgan Street Junction, and the bustling Westwood Village (Target, Barnes and Noble, Chico's, Bed Bath & Beyond, Big 5 Sport Store, Pier 1 Imports, and more). Or, you can take the Water Taxi from West Seattle waterfront to the Seattle waterfront and all that it offers.
